It's a BOY!

The latest news, and biggest by far, is that Melinda and I are expecting a boy. He's due to arrive on September 10th. As you might expect, this is somewhat of a daunting prospect, but the two of us couldn't be happier with becoming parents. What's most surprising is just how quickly the 9 months pass. When you first find out the news you think 9 months is such a long time, and of course initially you're somewhat apprehensive as you just hope everything goes smoothly through the first trimester, but now we're staring September 10th in the face and there seems to be so much to get done before his arrival. As you might imagine, Melinda and I are staying put for the summer, so I take solace in knowing we're not undertaking any major trips or anything. That gives me plenty of time to work on all those projects.
